• How are dogs grouped?
• Dogs are placed in play groups based on age, size, and temperament. Our goal is to allow them free play in a structured, safe group of friends.
• What should I bring for boarding?
• You can bring anything you think will make your dog feel at home! Toys, food, treats, a bed, blanket, favorite chew, shirt with your scent, etc. Your dog will have access to all their belongings when they’re in their kennel. However we provide all dogs with cozy fleece blankets and food if none are brought for them. We do recommend bringing your own dog’s food; an abrupt change in diet can cause an upset stomach.
• Do you administer medicine?
• Yes, if your dog needs an incentive like pill pockets feel free to bring some.
• How much does it cost?
• You will find general cost under our rules and rates section.
• Hours for drop offs?
• Drop offs are M-F 6:30am – 12pm, 3pm- 6:30pm. Sat-Sun 8am-12pm, 3pm-6:30pm. We are closed every day from 12pm-3pm.
• Are daycare dogs kenneled?
• Yes, all daycare dogs are kenneled from 12pm-3pm for doggie quiet time.
• *Dogs are placed in their own kennels with a water bowl. If the owner provides lunch they will eat during this time.
• What documents do I need to bring?
• An updated copy of their vaccines showing Distemper/Parvo, Rabies and Bordetella (for Kennel Cough). These vaccines can be upload to your account on Gingr or emailed them to us at sales@halfmoonkennels.com
• How do I make a reservation?
• Current customers: once you are logged into your account on Gingr you will press ‘New Reservation’ and fill out the request. New customers: will have to create an account first, then will be able to make boarding and daycare reservations.
• Do you take all dogs?
• Yes, we take all dogs. We do not breed discriminate. We ask that all dogs are non-aggressive towards humans. If you have questions about your dogs’ social skills with other dogs, please reach out and we can set up a trial day.
